Rupert has actually been immersed in the world of antiques from a very young age. His mother has worked in the industry throughout his life, and his earliest memories include selling at Sunbury Antiques Fair with her regularly as a child. He is married and a father to two young boys who are already coming around antiques fairs with him!

His professional career began at Duke’s Auction House in Dorset, where he progressed to manage the Grove Auction Rooms for several years. He later established himself independently, sourcing and selling antiques for private clients and auction houses.

Rupert has undertaken valuations both in the U.K. and internationally, and has overseen the successful sale of many significant antique collections as well as individual items—from fine art to notable Chinese works. His client base includes private collectors, businesses, and museums.
